Terms and conditions

The conditions that apply when you book a trip with us. Please read them before booking.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who organises the trips

The trips sold on sojournerstours.com are organised by Citylife Group SL, CIF B86970662, registered office at Calle Gran Vía 33, 8D, 28013 Madrid, Spain, travel agency licence CICMA 3214, trading as Sojourners Tours (the “Organiser”). Contact: [email protected], +34 663 933 654.

These conditions, together with the description of each trip on the website and your booking confirmation, form the package travel contract, governed by Book IV of the Spanish Consumer Protection Act (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007) and the applicable regional regulations.

2. Booking and contract

  • You must be at least 18 years old to book.
  • The lead traveler books on behalf of everyone included in the booking and confirms that all travelers accept these conditions and that their details are correct and match their passports.
  • For trips with a calendar of open dates, you can book until the time shown on the trip page (for our Morocco trips, 15:00 Morocco time on the day before the start date), subject to availability. After that time you can ask us on WhatsApp: we check availability with no commitment, and a last-minute supplement may apply.
  • The contract is concluded when you complete the payment (in full or the first payment of a plan) and receive the booking confirmation by email.
  • A traveler account is created for you, where you can see your booking, itinerary, payment plan and contact us.

3. Prices and what is included

Prices are per person, in euros, and include the taxes that apply. Each trip page lists what is included and what is not. Flights are not included in any of our trips: every trip starts and ends at the meeting point at the destination, which is shown on the trip page. Unless the trip page says otherwise, transport to the meeting point, personal expenses, tips, visas and travel insurance are not included either. Discount codes cannot be combined, are applied before payment and only to the trips they were created for. Amounts shown in other currencies are approximate and for information only: payments are always charged in euros.

4. Payment

  • Pay in full when booking, or
  • Deposit and balance: you pay a deposit when booking and the balance on the date shown in your payment plan, or when the departure is confirmed, or
  • Installments: the price is split into up to 3 interest-free payments on the dates shown in your payment plan.

By choosing a deposit or installment plan you authorise us to charge the remaining payments automatically to the card you used, on the dates of your payment plan. We send a reminder by email a few days before each charge and you can change the card or pay early from your account. If a payment fails, we will email you a link to pay. If a payment remains unpaid 7 days after its due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled by the traveler and apply the cancellation terms in section 8.

5. Minimum number of travelers and confirmation

Some departures need a minimum number of travelers. This is indicated on the trip page; when the minimum is reached, the date is shown as Guaranteed. If the minimum is not reached, we may cancel the trip and will tell you no later than:

  • 20 days before departure for trips of more than 6 days,
  • 7 days before departure for trips of 2 to 6 days,
  • 48 hours before departure for trips of less than 2 days.

In that case you will receive a full refund of what you have paid within 14 days, without further compensation.

6. Changes by the Organiser

We may make minor changes to the itinerary before departure and will inform you clearly. If we have to significantly change a main element of the trip or increase the price by more than 8%, you can accept the change or cancel the contract without penalty and receive a full refund.

7. Transferring your booking

You can transfer your place to another person who meets the conditions of the trip by telling us in writing at least 7 days before departure. The name change is free of charge. Both of you are jointly responsible for any outstanding balance.

8. Cancellation by the traveler

You can cancel your booking at any time before departure by writing to us. In that case the refund depends on how long before departure we receive your cancellation:

When you cancelRefund of the trip price
30 days or more before departure100%
29 to 15 days before departure50%
14 to 8 days before departure25%
7 days or less before departure, or no-showNo refund

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days. If you have paid less than the amount we are entitled to keep, the difference remains payable.

If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination significantly affect the trip, you can cancel before departure without a fee and receive a full refund, without further compensation.

Right of withdrawal: in accordance with article 103 l) of the Consumer Protection Act, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to travel services provided on a specific date.

9. Cancellation by the Organiser

Apart from section 5, we may cancel a trip if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent us from running it. You will be informed as soon as possible and refunded in full within 14 days.

10. Passports, visas and health

You are responsible for having a valid passport, any visa or permit you need for the destination and for returning to your country of residence, and for meeting any health requirements. For some trips we need your passport and flight details before departure: you add them in your traveler account by the date shown there, and they are required to take part in the trip. We publish general guidance, but entry rules depend on your nationality and can change: always check with the relevant authorities. We are not responsible if you are refused boarding or entry because your documents are not in order.

11. Travel insurance

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance covering medical expenses, repatriation and cancellation. Travel insurance is not included in the price of our trips. Where we offer it as an optional extra, the insurer and the cover are shown before you add it.

12. Behaviour during the trip

Travelers must follow the instructions of our team and local guides and respect local laws and customs, the other travelers and the suppliers. We may exclude from the trip, without refund, a traveler whose behaviour seriously endangers or disturbs the group.

13. Our responsibility and assistance

We are responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in your contract. If something is not as agreed, tell our local team or contact us without delay so we can fix it. We will provide appropriate assistance if you are in difficulty during the trip. Compensation is subject to the limits allowed by law and by international conventions.

14. Protection against insolvency

As required by law, the Organiser has a guarantee to refund payments and repatriate travelers in the event of insolvency: the details of the guarantor and of the policy will be published on this page shortly. Until then, you can request them at [email protected].

15. Tailor-made trips

For tailor-made trips, the proposal we send you (itinerary, services, price, payment and cancellation terms) forms part of the contract once you accept and pay it. Where the proposal sets different terms from these conditions, the proposal prevails.

16. Complaints

If you have a complaint, write to [email protected]. We will reply as soon as possible and at the latest within one month. Official complaint forms are available to consumers on request.

17. Personal data

We process your personal data as explained in our Privacy Policy.

18. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, disputes will be heard by the courts of your place of residence.
